AWeber — email, the simple way

We run our own list on AWeber — nearly every post you read here goes out through it. If you need one calm place to keep in touch with people who've asked to hear from you, this is where I'd point you. Drag-and-drop emails, landing pages included, and the welcome sequences work without a developer.

Good for: anyone starting a small list, a newsletter, or their first product launch.

Worth knowing: AWeber is currently advertising its annual plan at $79 for the year, and there's a free plan if you'd rather try it first. Check the current price yourself — promotional pricing changes, and the free plan caps how many people you can email. Pricing also climbs as your list grows.

Skip it if: you already have a system you're happy with. Don't move for the sake of moving.

Instadoodle — simple explainer videos without a production setup

Type a script, get a whiteboard-style animated video out the other end. No design skills, no camera, no editor — and it runs in the browser, so a laptop is enough. For anyone publishing on a small budget, the unusual part is the pricing: a one-time licence instead of another monthly bill.

Good for: short explainers, product walkthroughs, course intros, and social clips where "clear" beats "polished."

Worth knowing: the vendor advertises a low launch price, and the features you'd actually want — higher-resolution exports, the bigger asset library, AI scripting — sit in the optional upgrades, so budget for the entry price plus one. It's a cloud tool, so it needs a connection every time you use it. The vendor's page also runs a "just purchased" ticker; the deal is genuine, but treat the ticker as decoration, not evidence.

Skip it if: you already have a video workflow, or you don't publish video. A tool you never open isn't a bargain at any price.

ClickBank Profit Club — a structured start to affiliate marketing

ClickBank Profit Club is a beginner-focused membership built around affiliate marketing, lead capture and a hosted funnel, with training on email lists and traffic. It is the route we point to for anyone who wants a guided order of steps instead of piecing together random tutorials. There is a free tier, so you can look around before spending anything.

Good for: anyone starting from scratch who wants structure, and who can set aside a few steady hours a week.

Worth knowing: the free tier is genuinely free, but a funnel needs somewhere to send people, so you will probably want an email tool as well — that is a separate tool with its own cost and its own terms. Paid tiers exist and cost real money, so check the current pricing, billing terms and refund conditions on the vendor's own page before you decide. There is no guaranteed income here. It is a skill you build, over time.

Skip it if: you are hoping for income without consistent work, you do not want to write content or email people, or the cost would create any financial strain. Staying on the free tier is a perfectly good place to stop.
